Ever think about how much we unarguably matter, and how each of us is fearfully and wonderfully made? Yet, is any of this truly recognized in the workplace? On the sales floor, at partner events, in executive briefings?
Shouldn’t it be?
Hi, I’m Erin, and I’m here to help uplift and uplevel all of us! Not in a ladder-climbing, “get yours”, my tech brain brings all the boys to the yard kind of way. While I appreciate a Boss Babe as much as anyone, I’m more about diving into organizational psychology… but with a faith-based twist. I love inspecting how our environments, words, training, disagreements—even our IP addresses—affect us, particularly at work. Going deep into the why rather than just accepting the what, is my jam. It’s the study of people being—perceiving, interacting, creating—that lights up my natural curiosity and compassion like nothing else.
I’m Silicon Valley-raised, Corporate America-tamed, Cybersecurity-trained, and I majored in Sociology—So yes, your girl’s a little hooked on understanding y’all/us/me under the influence of our surroundings.
And I want to write about it.
I’m here to give. I have a position and a point of view, and I’m here to share it.
Sales and Workplace Reform are areas I desire to inspire change in, using my brain and my beliefs. I want to help validate the unvalidated, represent the underrepresented, and amplify voices that often go unheard. I wish to support sales leaders in creating healthier sales environments and help people define and present their unique brands.
But I’m not stopping there. I also want to encourage us to level up in ways that go beyond career growth—like in our character, our curiosity, with our teams, in our integrity—and to better demonstrate courtesy and consideration in every interaction.
So here I am, happy as a clam that you’re here, too. Even though I began this journey while on sabbatical (a.k.a., “funemployed” with zero income), I can’t imagine a more impactful way to use my time, talent, skill, and experience than to share it all with you!
Now that we’re here, let’s get into some work-life essentials I’ve been craving to talk about like an ever-entertaining Stephanie Lange truth bomb. Things like valuing process over just outcomes. Addressing those “little t” traumas in workplaces that are entirely avoidable. Questioning why, for instance, we often favor small children’s caregivers over those caring for elderly parents or loved ones with autism. Did you know that shrinking fibroids and avoiding hysterectomies naturally is a thing? I’ve done it! I’ll tell you how. Stronger friendships, fitness, faith, and building our self-esteem? I’m in—are you?
These are just a few of the subjects floating around in my coily head that my keyboard and I will now ponder with you too. And if you’re wondering, ‘Erin. So, what? Why?’
